I still cannot begin to process or put into words the devastation in Alabama. We went to volunteer yesterday but were turned away because they had too many volunteers for the day. They had over 500+ show up by 8 A.M. and had no more bus space available to get us in the areas. Wow! I was discouraged but also so thankful that my community has stepped up to help our neighbors in need. We instead took supplies and water to a local agency that was loading an 18-wheeler to transport items into the affected areas.
Gov. Bentley has called for a "Day of Prayer" today. Will you take a moment to pray for my home state and for all those affected?
I thought I would share with you a couple of links this morning that have touched my heart...

"I lift up my eyes to the hills -
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth."
Psalm 121:1-2

I live in North Florida and just wanted to let you know we're praying for Alabama. So sorry for all that was lost!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about not being able to process it all, everywhere I drive is surrounded by massive devastation. So thankful for God's protection on my family.
