Just thought I would share some links I came across this week -
It's gonna be a scorcher here in the South so I am taking it easy today and catching up on cleaning, laundry and a little work.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Todays Topic:

Tell us about your dream vacation!

Where would you go? Have you been there before? Who would go with you? What about it draws you in?

The two destinations I've chosen are places I have never been before. I love anything tropical, which is why I chose the first one, and I chose the second one because I've always just dreamed of visiting there one day. At this season in my life, I would choose my sister or parents to go on these trips with me, but I hope one day I have a significant other to share these dream trips with. Where would I love to go?

Antigua

Greece

Where would you like to visit?

Boys of Fall

My oldest nephew Connor wants to play football in the fall. He and his dad have been practicing catching, running and protecting the ball and kicking. I love watching him develop into a little athlete. Here are some fun pictures from our time together last weekend at Nana and Pop's!

Tell us about your hobbies! What do you do in your free time? What are your favorite books, movies, music etc?

I love to read, sew, cook and craft. I don't have lots of time to do these things, but when I can fit them in it is my way to relax and recharge.

Here is a post with some of my favorite music and with some of my favorite movies!

I love books by Karen Kingsbury and Francine Rivers. I loved:
The Help
Same Kind of Different As Me
One Thousand Gifts
Water for Elephants
The Kite Runner

Days of Summer: Downtown Prattville, AL

My sister and I spent Friday lunch together in downtown Prattville, AL while my youngest nephew visited with our grandparents. I remember when this part of Prattville was the main hub of the city and it had not been developed yet. I love seeing towns preserve their downtown area and embrace the history of their city. Here are some pictures from our visit -

We ate the Prattville Pasta Mill and Pizzaria. Yummy!

We both got the meat and two plate with dessert. I had chicken and dressing, black-eyed peas, fried green tomatoes, cornbread, sweet tea and banana pudding. I love the exposed walls in their restaurant showing the old Coca-Cola building.

We stopped in at The Turtle Shell. This little store has lots and lots of teacher resources, classroom decor and books. We picked up a books about the states for my oldest nephew, and I saw lots of ideas for Christmas gifts as well.

I didn't catch the name of this cute place, but it is a boutique and cafe. So cute!

I loved the sign, large initials and this cross painting from this shop.

The creek runs behind Main Street and they have access to it from the downtown area. I love the path they have created and the small garden between these two buildings.

Here is the sidewalk that runs beside the creek.

Here is picture of the Old Mill from the creek.

What is your favorite small town historic area to visit?

Todays Topic:

Tell us about your social media! Where can we find you? Link to your twitter, pinterest, Facebook, instagram, or google +. If you don't use those sites, then tell us why not!

Also, what are your favorite websites? Are there any that you check daily? What do you like about them?

I am getting a little more comfortable putting myself out there via social media, but by no means is it a huge part of my daily life. There are just some things that I don't want to share with the world. I think it is an awesome tool for communication, but I also think it causes unnecessary drama and hurt if not used properly.

I do have an active Facebook account. I don't friend people unless I know them so I don't put that out there for people to find via my blog. I have an active Twitter and Pinterest account that can be accessed via my social media buttons on my blog.

I don't check many websites on a daily basis, but I do look at One King's Lane, Etsy, and HGTV

Thanks for stopping by!
